Why Wedding Ring on Forth finger?
Posted by: Rama Mohan A. Websites: Telugu Movie Talks, Get Elite, ViewDom I don't know where it published first. My friend sent this to me and like to share this from my blog.
Why wedding ring on Forth finger?
The Chinese Legend have a beautiful explanation of why we wear the wedding ring on the fourth finger. According to tradition the fingers
1. Thumbs represents your parents
2. Index fingers represents your siblings
3. Middle fingers represents yourself
4. Ring fingers represents your life partner
5. Little fingers represents your children
To understand the reasoning behind this belief, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together, back to back. Then open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip, as shown in the image below:
Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)... they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.
Please join your thumbs as before.
Now separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)... they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.
Now join the Index fingers as before.
Now separate your Little fingers (representing your children)... they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.
Now join your little fingers as before.
Finally, now try to separate your Ring Fingers (representing your spouse). You will see that it's impossible to do so (you just CANNOT), because a husband and wife remain together all their lives, through thick and thin!
Marriage is not just word, it’s complete sentence of eternal life. Live your marital life to its fullest. Don't get distracted by illusions and stupid intrusions.
